Arizona Fall Prevention Coalition - My Health, My Safety, My MedicationsThink Tall, Prevent a Fall

Arizona Fall Prevention Coalition

About Us

The Arizona Fall Prevention Coalition was formed thanks to a grant from the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. Developed to promote evidence-based fall prevention approaches, the coalition helps coordinate existing efforts, provides technical assistance and increases the opportunities for older adults to enhance their quality of life.

We provide education and information to help older adults in Arizona improve their flexibility and balance, reduce their fears of falling, and decrease the likelihood of a fall. Our intention is to help connect individual Falls Prevention Programs to the broader statewide collaborations; such as the collaboration between the aging network and the public health community that promotes chronic disease self-management, including reducing the risk of falls among older adults.

Our Mission

The mission of the AZ Fall Prevention Coalition is to reduce the risk of falls by older Arizonans through education, awareness, and outreach focused on three essentials of fall prevention: medication management, physical activity, and home and environment modification.
